Chad Hildebrandt, Railway Operations supervisor, and Cliff Harmon, transporation engineer with the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command's Transportation Engineering Agency, inspect the chains attaching a Light Armored Vehicle to a railcar used for impact testing on the Yermo Annex aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Calif., May 31. Once the rail-impact testing is completed successfully, the results are sent through Marine Corps Systems Command and SDDC-TEA and add the data to the Transportability Approval Report, allowing for safe transport of the LAV using railcars by warfighters.
