U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Van Johnson, 165th Civil Engineering Squadron pavements apprentice, sprays drywall solution to a facility in construction at Helemano Plantation in Wahiawa, Hawaii, June 18. Georgia Air National Guardsmen from the 165th Airlift Wing and 116th Air Control Wing are contributing to the Aloha Garden Project, an effort to build critical infrastructure at Helemano Plantation, a senior living community in Wahiawa, Hawaii. Airmen will complete a critical section of the project and bring sorely-needed infrastructure to a community for special needs citizens. The project is part of the U.S. military's Innovative Readiness Training program, which provides training and readiness for military personnel while addressing public and civil-society needs.
