Coglianese visited MCAS Iwakuni during his tour of MCIPAC, as a part of his duties as the commander of MCICOM. The visit marked the first time that he visited the station as the MCICOM commander and the first time that he viewed expansion projects and the recently completed Atago Hills complex.
