(June 19, 2018) A U.S. Naval Academy midshipman lifts an inert 155mm artillery shell while wearing a Mark 9 Bomb Suit during an agility test as part of an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) summer cruise at Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group (EODGRU) 2 headquarters on Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek. The EOD Summer cruise is used to identify potential EOD officers from Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) and the U.S. Naval Academy prior to their senior year.
