Capt. Aaron Cross, commander of Troop A, 1st Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, turns the formation over to 1st Sgt. Alex Garcia, following a change of command ceremony at Combat Outpost 9-1, Aug. 27. Capt. Jeff Donahue relinquished command to Cross after 22 months in the position. Donahue took command shortly after the Warhorse Brigade returned from Iraq in 2009 after a year-long deployment.
