Air Force veteran Stacey Pavenski, 46, of Palm Bay, Florida, is on a journey to bring awareness to PTSD and traumatic brain injury disorders that lead 22 veterans a day to take their own lives. Her husband Air Force Master Sgt. Pete Pavenski took his own life Sept. 18, 2018. Joining forces with Mission 22, a non-profit organization, Stacey has put together a PTSD 3K walk-run on Florida’s Space Coast during PTSD Awareness Month. Stacey’s PTSD 3K walk-run will take place, Saturday, June 30 at 4 p.m. starting at Tables Beach, a quarter-of-a-mile north of 2nd Light Beach on State Road A1A in Cocoa Beach, Fla., across from Patrick Air Force Base. The walk will proceed north. All are welcome. (U.S. Air Force photo by Maj. Cathleen Snow)
