The Hampton Roads Naval Museum, a museum within the Naval History & Heritage Command, hosts volunteer model shipwrights in their gallery during the week for a rare glimpse into the attention to detail and patience needed to construct a wooden model ship. Pictured here is Lee Martin, a volunteer shipwright. Lee has been working on a wooden ship model of the USS Constitution, which can take upwards of 2,000 man hours to complete. The Hampton Roads Naval Museum is located on the second-floor of Nauticus in Downtown Norfolk; the museum is on the second floor of the building and is entirely free of charge to visit.
