180626-N-GG458-001 (ATLANTIC OCEAN) The Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43), and the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) sail in formation behind the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24) during Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT). Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) is completing the Navy’s first East Coast ARG SWATT exercise. SWATT is led by the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) and is designed to increase warfighting proficiency, lethality and interoperability of participating units.
