DCC Adam Botterbush, from the USS Stout (DDG-55) provides some remarks on his years of service to the fleet during his re-enlistment ceremony in front of the iconic turret #1 on the USS Wisconsin. The USS Wisconsin (BB-64) is an Iowa-class battleship originally commissioned in 1944. Since being decommissioned, she has been berthed adjacent to the Hampton Roads Naval Museum and Nauticus, in downtown Norfolk, Virginia as a museum ship. The Museum is able to host military ceremonies, such as re-enlistments, promotions, and retirements on-board the iconic USS Wisconsin free of charge. Interested commands and individuals should contact the museum’s special events coordinator, Tom Dandes at Thomas.Dandes@navy.mil or call (757) 322-3106.

The Hampton Roads Naval Museum is one of ten Navy museums that are operated by the Naval History & Heritage Command. The museum celebrates the long history of the US Navy in the Hampton Roads region. The Museum is co-located with Nauticus in Downtown Norfolk, Virginia. Admission to the museum is free; visitors simply by-pass the ticket line on the first floor of Nauticus and come up the stairs or elevator to the museum on the second deck.
