Three American pilots of the No. 71 (Eagle) Squadron Royal Air Force show off their new squadron badge at Church Fenton, Yorkshire, Oct. 1940. Three ‘eagle squadrons’ were formed between 1940 and 41 from U.S. citizens in the RAF.
