Joshua Teneyck, an Indiana National Guardsman attached to B Battery, 163rd Field Artillery, and an Australian counterpart train together on an M777 howitzer used by both the U.S. and Australian militaries. Soldiers with the 76th Infantry Brigade Combat Team traveled nearly 9,000 miles to Queensland, Australia, to join the Australian Defence Force during Exercise Hamel, an exercise that integrates U.S. forces into an Australian Battle Group to enhance tactical and sustainment interoperability with allied partners.
