Lance Cpl. Bret Harden and Lance Cpl. Chad M. Nicks, natives of McComb, Ohio, and Milan, Mich., and combat engineers with Black Sea Rotational Force 11, install support for the frame that will hold all of the concrete for a newly-constructed helipad at Constanta County Hospital. Combat engineers with Black Sea Rotational Force 11 contracted with Romanian excavation specialist to then buildt a helipad for Constanta County Hospital that will alleviate flight time for patients to the emergency room and will allow helicopter evacuation of critically-wounded patients to the trauma center at the hospital -- the only one within approximately 260 kilometers -- and potentially save lives. help to save more lives by getting casualties prompt and rapid medical care. The landing pad was part of the engineer’s last community relations project for the country before they are slated to depart back to the states this month.
