A 100-foot temporary floating bridge used to support Northern California wildfire operations was dismantled July 14 at Cache Creek Regional Park, Yolo County, California. The California Army National Guard’s 132nd Multirole Bridge Company, 579th Engineer Battalion, 49th Military Police Brigade constructed the bridge in early July so the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) and other emergency services have quicker, easier access to fight wildfires. To the right is an existing bridge that was condemned for heavy equipment. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Eddie Siguenza)
