Soldiers from the U.S. Army Reserve’s 628th Forward Surgical Team out of Fort Sam Houston, Texas, practice unloading a stretcher with their Canadian Armed Forces counterparts using a special entrance of a Chemical Biological Protective Shelter M8E1 deployed on a training site by the 628th FST during Global Medic exercise July 13 at Fort Hunter Liggett, California. The vehicle-mounted mobile shelter is self-deployable and serves as a self-contained protective air-conditioned system that is contamination-free. It allows for military support personnel to work safely and easily without having to wear chemical-biological protective clothing.
