Two combatives instructors from the 176th Security Forces Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Ala., educate Security Forces Airmen from the 128th Air Refueling Wing, Wisconsin Air National Guard, on self-defense techniques during a combatives course July 16, 2018. Security Forces Airmen may encounter hostile situations when on duty; therefore, this course aimed to educate 128 ARW SFS Airmen on how to use defensive strategies, such as hand-to-hand combat, to safely deescalate threatening scenarios and overcome the adversary.
