The first rush of water from a lake below is pumped through a valve atop a mountain in Kajaki, Afghanistan, Aug. 25, 2011. A team of engineers with 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group (Forward), spent more than 600 man-hours carrying supplies and cable by hand up 3,000 feet of rugged terrain as part of a well and purification project in the area.
