The Honor the Mountain Monument is located in Tower Square and serves as the centerpiece of Thompson Park in Watertown, New York. It was unveiled on July 1, 2016, by the North Country community as a statement of its gratitude for the sacrifice and service of 10th Mountain Division Soldiers and Families at Fort Drum, New York. Participants at the inaugural Memorial to Monument Run, set for Sept. 29, will gather there after the run for a community party with food and entertainment.
