Soldiers from the California Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 160th Infantry, Alpha Company, square off in a squad-on-squad tug-of-war that ultimately decided the winner of the company’s first annual Iron Squad Competition (ISC) at Camp Roberts, Calif., 19 August, 2011. The ISC consisted of four timed events that allowed the soldiers to competitively use the skills they learned during their annual training.
