Aviation Ordnanceman 2nd Class Mary Kesner assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 23 receives a rose from her daughter upon arrival at Naval Air Station North Island after a 5-month deployment with USNS Mercy (T-AH-19). Mercy is operated by Military Sealift Command and provides emergency, on-site care for U.S. combatant forces deployed in war or other operations.
