Lance Cpl. Dashner St. Vilus with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, participates in a rescue simulation drill with Marine Light Attack Helicopter 469 on MCAS Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, July 24, 2018. The training was meant to hone the Marines’ rescue skills in the event of a hard landing or mishap. HMLA-469 is currently under the unit deployment program with Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, which is a rotational tour within another unit meant to increase skill sets in different areas of operation.
