Piggee received a briefing on the 1ID MCE's Atlantic Resolve mission, which is spread across eight eastern European countries. The DTAC allows Wasmund and the MCE to command the close fight during a conflict while quickly maneuvering across the battlefield at a moment’s notice. The 1ID MCE is U.S. Army Europe’s intermediate division-level headquarters charged with ensuring the regionally allocated forces are trained and ready during their nine-month tours to eastern Europe.
