Nelle Linz, an interventional cardiologist and Chest Pain Center director, place a transparent compression band on the patient’s wrist to apply pressure to the artery and minimize bleeding while interventional cardiologist Lt. The Cardiac Catheterization Lab staff cares for patients during planned procedures, but also provides care for heart attack patient who present to NMCP’s emergency room around the clock and are required to be at the facility within 30 minutes of activation of heart attack protocols.
