    Robert Nieweg, director and regional attorney for the National Trust for Historic Preservation Southern Field Office, prepares to discuss preservation efforts for the Tomb of the Unknowns. The tomb, which has cracks in the stone, is expected to need routine repairs to keep the cracks from spreading. Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has partnered with the cemetery and other agencies to preserve the tomb by repairing the cracks.
