Firefighters from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Prevention (CAL FIRE) Task Force 4231 out of Modesto, California, rest July 29 and watch California Army National Guard forces move in to support recovery operations during the Carr Fire in Redding. Cal Guard’s military police were called in to establish traffic checkpoints throughout areas that were evacuated. The firefighters were on the last stages of a 24-hour response to put out fires.
