Marines from Engineer Operations Company, Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Marine Wing Support Group 17, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, and soldiers from the Bangladesh armed forces division secure rebar rods with wire Sept. 18. The rebar cages are part of a concrete ceiling in a school the Marines and soldiers have been working on together since the beginning of September. The Marines are conducting an engineering civil action project, Bangladesh Interoperability Program '11, in coordination with the government of Bangladesh and elements of the Bangladesh AFD. “The BIP ENCAP improves the engineering interoperability of our forces, which is an important aspect of military operations,” said 1st Lt. Ruth Kelty, officer-in-charge of EOPS Company.
