The mission of the Battlefield Airmen Training Group, located at JBSA-Lackland, is to select, train, and mentor Airmen for global combat operations. The BATG directs Air Force initial skills and advanced Battlefield Airmen training for pararescue, combat rescue officer, combat control teams, special tactics officers, special operations weather teams, tactical air control party, and air liaison officer career fields.
