180730-N-PY230-1199 RED SEA (July 30, 2018) Egyptian Naval Force (ENF) officers help direct a division tactics events from the bridge wing of the guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) as part of exercise Eagle Salute 18. Eagle Salute 18 is a surface exercise with the ENF conducted to enhance interoperability and war-fighting readiness, fortify military-to-military relationships and advance operational capabilities of all participating units. Jason Dunham is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
