(Aug. 1, 2018) Ensigns John Amos and Steven Swiatek, Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) Officers School Basic Qualification Course students, carry part of a tent as students practice packing up a Base-X 305 tent in preparation for a five-day field training exercise (FTX). This is the first basic class to use the Base-X 305 tent. The FTX is part of a curriculum designed to provide junior CEC officers with the fundamental knowledge and skills in construction and facilities management, contracting, and the role of the CEC in the Navy and Department of Defense.
