An increase in night time commerce has become one of the bright sides to the security provided by ISAF, ANA and ANP personnel. Despite recent suicide attacks in Afghanistan's capital city of Kabul, it has become a bustling metropolis. Vendors line the streets with their carts filled with goods. Shop owners' lights serve as a beacon to welcome potential customers to patronize their stores. Yellow and white cabs navigate the busy maze of streets to provide transportation services. Though there is still much that needs to be accomplished to round the corner for permanent change, a tone of optimism can be heard on the streets. (Army photo/Staff Sgt. James Fidel)
