VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (July 26, 2018) Sailors from Beachmaster Unit (BMU) 2 use a Lighter, Amphibious Resupply, Cargo, Five – ton (LARC – V) to drop off U.S. Army drivers onto an Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS) Causeway Ferry operated by Amphibious Construction Batallion (ACB) 2 during the Trident Sun 18 exercise onboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story. Trident Sun 18 is a maritime prepositioning force (MPF) operation intended to provide training to reserve component personnel with regards to the in stream offload of military vehicles and equipment.
