Senior Master Sgt. Clay Good, who is part of the flight crew with the 165th Airlift Wing, based out of Savannah, Georgia, confers with another airman about the landing they had just performed at Grayling Army Air Field on August 8, 2018. The 165th Airlift Wing were at the airfield in Grayling, Michigan helping the 197th Field Artillery Brigade Headquarters, Headquarters battery from Manchester, New Hampshire, who are participating in Northern Strike 18 this year. The Airlift Wing were helping the Brigade by providing expedient movement of their howitzers over difficult terrain. Northern Strike 18, a National Guard Bureau-sponsored exercise uniting service members from many states, multiple service branches and a number of coalition countries during the first three weeks of August 2018 at the Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center and the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, both located in northern Michigan and operated by the Michigan National Guard.
