U.S. Marines assigned to Combat Service Support Battalion (CSSC), I Marine Expeditionary Force Support Battalion, I MEF Information Group, utilize a backhoe loader to dig hygiene trenches during a field exercise at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Aug. 9, 2018. The purpose of hygiene trenches are to provide the unit with proper sanitation in a field environment.
