A U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker pilot, assigned to 28th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron, walks toward the back of the aircraft during an air refueling mission in support of Operation Inherent Resolve aerial operations over Iraq, Aug. 11, 2018. The KC-135 provides aerial refueling to U.S. and Coalition forces in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and Resolute Support in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. Air refueling is a vital component of flying operations, allowing aircraft to stay airborne longer and support U.S. and Coalition forces in the air and on the ground.
