Staff Sgt. Greg Markowski, a native of Poland and a shooter/instructor with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, mentally prepares himself for the next pistol match at Camp Perry, Ohio July 13. Each year, the Service Pistol Team Soldiers travel to Port Clinton, Ohio to compete against hundreds of the best marksmen from across the United States to vie or titles in both the National Rifle Association’s and the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s National Pistol Matches.
