Haji Abdul Manaf, the governor of Nawa district, Helmand province, has led the district to prosperity after assuming office in late 2009. Manaf and his ministers work out of offices in the Nawa District Center, a compound that contains several new buildings and others currently under construction. The district center is just one of many examples of the vast improvements in Nawa district’s infrastructure in recent years.
