A U.S. Air Force C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft carrying simulated patients arrives at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., during Exercise Ultimate Caduceus 18, Aug. 21, 2018. The exercise simulated bringing in injured troops from overseas, triaging them at Travis, and then moving them to longer-term and advanced-care facilities. The U.S. Air Force currently does not utilize the C-5M cargo compartment for Aeromedical Evacuation flights and is used in the exercise to test the aircraft’s capability during a large-scale global response.
