Col. Craig J. Alia officially relinquishes command of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade while passing the brigade colors to Maj. Gen. Andrew P. Poppas, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Resolute Support deputy chief of staff for operations, during a change of command ceremony held at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Aug. 25. Poppas, who presided over the ceremony, then charged Col. Matthew R. Weinshel with the responsibility of commanding Task Force Destiny and the only aviation brigade of the world’s only air assault division.
