(Aug. 27, 2018) Chief Boatswain's Mate Oscar Chavarria instructs recruits as they perform line-handling procedures during basic seamanship training at the USS Arleigh Burke recruit barracks at Recruit Training Command (RTC). The hands-on learning curriculum at RTC tests recruits on their war-fighting skills before they reach the fleet. More than 30,000 recruits graduate annually from the Navy's only boot camp.
