An RC-135 Rivet Joint aircraft assigned to the 55th Wing performs a flyover during the 2018 Defenders of Freedom Air & Space Show Aug. 12, at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. The Rivet Joint is an extensively modified C-135. The aircraft's modifications are primarily related to its on-board sensor suite, which allows the mission crew to detect, identify and geolocate signals throughout the electromagnetic spectrum.
