SRI LANKA – U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Joshua Kuhn, an emergency medicine physician for the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23), plays the part of a casualty during medical response training with Sri Lankan Navy medical personnel during a regularly scheduled deployment of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), August 26, 2018. The San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and the embarked Marines of the 13th MEU are conducting a theater security cooperation exercise with the Sri Lankan Navy and Navy Marines. Part of a growing U.S.-Sri Lanka naval partnership, the exercise is also an opportunity for U.S. Seventh Fleet to explore local logistics support services for visiting naval forces operating throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
