Soldiers and airmen with the 6th Civil Support Team support local response agencies at a plant fire in Waxahachie, Texas, Oct. 4, 2011. The team responded to a request for assistance from the Texas Commission for Environmental Quality after a chemical fire destroyed much of a facility owned by the Magnablend company. The 6th CST is a National Guard unit based in Austin, Texas, and regularly assists civilian officials in detecting and identifying substances released during natural and man-made catastrophic events.
