U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Jacob King is a response force member with the 27th Special Operations Security Forces Squadron, Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, training for the Defender Challenge, at Hurlburt Field, Florida, Aug. 29, 2018. Fourteen security forces teams from U.S. Air Force major commands, Great Britain and Germany, will participate in the Defender Challenge in San Antonio, Texas, Sept. 10 - 14. The Defender Challenge returns after a 14-year hiatus, where teams compete against each other in realistic weapon scenarios, simulated dismounted operations and combat endurance events.
