Wilson, Jr., commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic, receives a brief on the smartboard by Bud Weeks, Navigation, Seamanship and Shiphandling Director during a tour of the conning officer virtual environment station. Wilson visited Surface Warfare Officers School (SWOS) to speak with the command’s leadership, department heads and prospective commanding officers, as well as to tour various seamanship and navigation trainers. SWOS provides a continuum of professional education and training in support of surface Navy requirements and ensures Sailors are proficient, competent, and ready to serve at sea.
