Cpl. Thomas Kyttle, sniper spotter, and Pfc. Edward Cowley, sniper shooter, are the winning team from the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division after being named the best from the U.S. Army sniper team during a competition held for exercise Rising Thunder 18, at the Yakima Training Center, Washington, Sept. 4. The Soldiers were each presented a coin from Col. Yoshinori Machinaka, Commander of the 1st Infantry Regiment, Japanese Ground Self Defense Force, in honor of their achievement as team.
