Army 2nd Lt. Marc A. Nicholes stands on the campus of the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he’s in the second year of the Army’s Health Professional Scholarship Program (HPSP). HPSP pays 100 percent of medical school tuition along with a monthly stipend of more than $2,000. Recently, he administered the oath of office to swear-in his father, Army Reserve Lt. Col. Andrew “Andy” Nicholes (not shown) in a ceremony July 20 at the U.S. Army Medicine Department Museum on Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
