“Let’s ensure we clearly communicate with the veteran community that construction work can sometimes be disruptive and what our team is doing to minimize that disruption,” said USACE South Pacific Division Commander Col. Kim Colloton during a visit to the VA Long Beach Healthcare System Medical Center. “But the end result will be better facilities so the VA can continue to deliver the best care to those who have given so much in service to our Nation.”
The $300 million VA Long Beach project consists of five phases. The first phase includes a behavioral/mental health facility and a 40 bed inpatient facility.
