Chief Warrant Officer 3 Edward Hayes, the band officer for the 1st Marine Division Band, conducts the 1st Marine Division Band along with Archbishop Riordan High School and five others participating in the second annual high school band competition at Golden Gate Park, Oct. 10. The San Francisco Fleet Week event drew 12 bands total from local high schools, all seeking to take home the $10,000 cash prize donated by the Fleet Week Association.
