PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 14, 2018) - Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit observe take off from the rear of an MV-22 Osprey assigned to the "Flying Tigers" of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262 departing the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) during flight operations. Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
