180916-N-KW492-0025 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 16, 2018) Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) Paul Almanza conduct an aerial assessment of military installations affected by Hurricane Florence. U.S. Naval Forces Northern Command deployed Kearsarge, along with embarked elements of the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and the Expeditionary Strike Group 2 command element, to be positioned to provide Defense Support to Civil Authorities from the sea in response to Hurricane Florence, should support be requested.
