Meyers recieved the award as the RPA lead for integration into non-kinetic threat environments, and his effforts have increased the combat effectiveness of the RPA community. McDermott earned the award for the training and operation of a 42 intelligence personnel flight that provided over 24,000 hours of support five combat lines as well as scheduling 62 combat missions a day supporting three presidentially-directed operations and 624 strikes resulting in 919 enemies killed in action.
